Last summer I rounded up friends and family to make a commercial for a Heinz Ketchup contest. Our commercial “Now We Can Eat” has been selected for the Top 10 and, if it receives the most votes in the next two weeks, could win $57,000.

Please vote for “Now We Can Eat” at http://www.topthistv.com/ You can vote ONCE A DAY until April 21st.

Here are some links to videos I’ve shot and edited lately:

CES 2008 “The Greening of Technology” - For Discover EDGE

“Staging Your House for Sale” - For Discover EDGE

Expert Real Estate Tips - A great source of real estate and personal finance information.

I’m currently editing the fourth episode of News@Northwestern which airs on the Big Ten Network. Stories from past episodes can be seen on Northwestern’s YouTube channel.

And, finally, it looks like my IMDB profile has finally been updated with Modern Marvels credits for sound.

It’s about time…

Seems like I forgot I have a website. For good reason though, I’ve been really busy since I last updated in February. Since then, I’ve been to New York, Canada, Peru, and Mexico (as of tomorrow). Pictures from all of those places will be online after I get back from Mexico. Once I get the pictures up, I’ll write a little about those trips.

Some of the things I’ve worked on over the past months have made their way online:

The main project I’ve been working on lately is a show called News@Northwestern that airs on the Big Ten Network, which is available on satellite and cable networks nationwide. I shot most of the first show and edited all of it. Northwestern University Relations has posted the first show on YouTube. Since you probably don’t have the Big Ten Network, check out the show there. We just finished post production on the second episode of the show, and it should air sometime in December. I’ll post the air times when I know them.

I co-edited a documentary called Trashed that has been screened in various places throughout the country. Trashed examines issues surrounding waste management in America. It premiered at the end of the summer in Chicago at the Music Box. Bill Kirkos, the producer/director is currently shopping it around to various educational and documentary outlets. To learn more about Trashed go here: www.TrashedMovie.com

A new project I’ve taken on is ongoing shooting and editing for ExpertRealEstateTips.net. The videos we have done so far are up on YouTube. Ilyce has plans to have hundreds of videos up as soon as I can edit them all.

At the end of the summer I gaffed a PSA for the Kanye West Foundation featuring none other than Kanye himself. It is for his ED in ‘08 campaign that focuses on education reform and improving public schools nationwide. Click here to see Kanye lit by me.

A project I shot a long time ago for Stef Foster finally turned up online. It’s a video tour of the Primary Care Joliet medical facility. You’ll need Real Player to watch that one.

Last but not least, some of you may have heard/seen that I made a commercial for the recent Heinz Ketchup TopThisTV contest. Sadly, the commercial didn’t make it into the contest, because I made a mistake in the entry process. Fortunately, TopThisTV Take Two has finally been announced and starts on December 15th, 2007. Once the contest starts, I will put the commercial back on YouTube and start hyping it all over the place. So stay tuned for that.

I think that’s everything for now. I’ll get those pictures up asap when I get back.

Print & frame my art at Imagekind...

It’s been a long time coming, but my prints are finally up for sale. There were a couple different ways I tried to do this, but none of them worked that well.

While searching for other options, I came across a site that was artist-friendly, easy to use, and completely focused on quality and customer satisfaction - Seattle based company Imagekind. I ordered several proofs and was pleased with everything from the purchase to the print.

I chose 7 pictures to start out with on ImageKind, and am planning on adding more soon. Let me know if there’s any picture in particular you think I should add (matt@mpcozza.com). If all goes well, I’ll upgrade my account at ImageKind and be able to really expand my gallery.

Thanks for looking - matt@mpcozza.com

4 New Pictures

Finally, an update to the site. I added four pictures from my trip to San Francisco.

The trip was great. Got some snowboarding in, had a good new years, and spent an entire day walking around SF and taking pictures. The rest of my pictures can be found on my webshots page.

In other news, work is going great. Mark and I are finishing up editing on his documentary (Papa Noel), and I ended up helping a former CNN producer finish his documentary a couple weeks ago.

I’ve also been pretty busy with camera and audio jobs. No complaints here. I’m excited for ‘07.
